La Mer in Jumeirah 1 is the place to be for some challenging fun in the sea and for this season’s La Mer Open Water Swim Series. The South Beach of La Mer will host the 200m, 400m, 800m, The Mile (1.6km) and 3200m followed by a fun team relay.

• How do I find my race number?

  Race Numbers will be allocated once entries close and be available for download from 5pm on the Wednesday before the Race.

• When is Race Check In and timing chip collection?

  Your timing chip collection is on the morning of the race at Race Check In which opens at 6.30am. No need to be there from the beginning when Race Check In opens.
  Race numbers will be emailed to all swimmers and will also be on shown at Race Check In on the morning of the race. Once you know your race number, proceed directly to your respective Timing chip collection desk.
  Please check that all your data which is printed on the label of the race pack envelope is correct. This includes your name, age category, gender and distance and in the event of there being any errors, please let our registration staff know so we can change it for you so you have the correct result when finishing the race.
  You must have checked in and received your timing chip 30 minutes before your race start.

• What are the course highlights?

  Plenty of lifeguards, calm waters, palm trees and beachfront vibe, pristine sand and 5*star beach facilities.

• What are the Venue & Parking Info?

  La Mer South Beach, Jumeirah Beach Road, Jumeirah 1 - Dubai, UAE
  There is lots of free parking on a first-come-first-serve basis as well as paid underground parking.

• What are the Race Day Program & Timings?

  Be checked in at least 30 minutes before the start of your respective race.
  No need to be there from the beginning when Race Check In opens.
  Once entered, you can swim in as many races as you choose to on the day except for 3.2km distance.

  Prizes can be collected after each race distance is completed and results have been checked from the Prize Distribution area.

• What are the Distances & Age groups?

  Age Groups are calculated as per your age on race day. Male and Female categories for all age groups
  200m: 0 – 8 years, 9 – 12 years
  400m: 0 – 12 years, 13 – 18 years, 19 years+
  800m: 0 – 12 years, 13 – 18 years, 19 years+
  1600m: 0 – 18 years, 19 – 39 years, 40 – 49 years, 50 years+

• How should I wear my timing chip?

  Chips to be worn on your LEFT ankle with the chip number facing outward.

• How easy/difficult is the course?

  Calm flat waters, social to advanced swimmers

• What are the support stations and where are they placed?

  Refreshments are available at the finish line.

• Are there any Family Discounts available?

  Family discounts are available for families of 3 or more wanting to enter this event, and are ONLY for parents and THEIR children and is offered by Super Sports to make it more economically viable for the whole family to participate. • Where can I find the Race Results?

  As soon as you have crossed the finish line, check the tablets at the race result stand in the race village for your immediate result. Provisional results are released directly after prize giving at http://www.supersportsuae.com/race-results/ . Final results once all has been checked and confirmed.

• Where can I find the Race Photos?

  The available race photos can be found on Facebook: Super Sports Events and are posted 72 hours after race finish. Individual photos are not included in the race fee nor guaranteed.

• How is this event handling Covid19 related concerns?

  No spectators – only for juniors doing the swim will a parent be allowed to support.
  Participants to wear a mask before the start and once you finish the event (no need to wear a mask while participating).
  Temperature check at CHECK IN on the day.
  Staff will wear masks for the entire duration of the event and sanitize regularly.
  Self-social distancing of 2m at all times except when participating.
  Self-service water stations at the finish line.
  Sanitize your hands regularly at designated stations.
  If you feel unwell on the morning of the event with flu-like symptoms, please stay at home!

• Any additional information participants should know about?

  All information regarding the Race (Race Briefing, Race Course etc.) can be found in the Event Downloads section of this Race (on the right side of this page), so ensure you have a clear understanding of the rules and regulations as well as what the course will look like / entail.

• Why have I not received any race emails from the event organizer?

  Race emails are sent 7 days before race day, and on the Wednesday before the race at midday. If you do not receive these emails, please check your spam / junk / promotions or other folders and un-spam us so you can receive future emails from us, Super Sports UAE.
