Ready to challenge yourself on the climb of the final stage of the 2022 UAE Tour. The UAE Tour Challenge presented by Tissot on the 26th of February will see participants follow the tracks of the professional peloton, going up the scenic and challenging Jebel Hafeet. Cross the actual finish line of stage 7, moments before Tadej Pogačar and co. chase up the mountain.
Awarding will take place on the actual prizegiving stage of the UAE Tour. Once finished make sure to stay around for the grand finale of the 2022 UAE Tour and see first-hand who will be crowned this year's champion.
All participants must be fully vaccinated and present a negative PCR test not Exceeding 96 hours

• Important Times

  Please arrive at the venue no later than 30 minutes before your start time.
  08:00am - Race pack collection opens
  10:55am – 60km Rolling Start with first 4.2km neutral
  11:55am – 30km Rolling Start with first 4.2km neutral
  12:50 - cut off for starting the climb up Jebel Hafeet
  13:45 – cut off for reaching the finish line at the Top of Jebel Hafeet
  14:00 – final time to depart down the mountain after the event or you will have to stay until after the finish of the UAE Tour final stage.

  Race Pack Collect – Race pack collection will take place on the day of the event. You will be sent your bib number via SMS before the event so please make sure you have this number available.
  Please always adhere to strict social distancing rules when in or around the race village

• Are there bag drop facilities?

  No there will be no bag drop at the event.

• Will there be support stations? If yes, how many, where, providing what support?

  There will be water stations in the race village and out on the course. There will be a water station every 5km throughout the route.
  Please note - water stations will be self service and teams will not be allowed to feed outside of the designated zones. Any participants found doing so will automatically be disqualified.

• How is this event handling Covid-19 related concerns?

  Participants to wear a mask before the start and once you finish the event (no need to wear a mask while participating).
  Staff will wear masks for the entire duration of the event and sanitize regularly.
  Self-social distancing of 2m at all times except when participating.
  Self-service water stations at the finish line.
  Sanitize your hands regularly at designated stations.
  If you feel unwell on the morning of the event with flu-like symptoms, please stay at home!

• كيف يتعامل هذا الحدث مع المخاوف المتعلقة بـ (كوفيد 19)؟

  يجب على المشاركين ارتداء الكمامة قبل البدء وبمجرد الانتهاء من الفعالية (لا داعي لارتداء كمامة أثناء المشاركة).
  سيرتدي الموظفون الكمامات طوال مدة السباق.
  تباعد اجتماعي ذاتي بمقدار 2 متر في جميع الأوقات، ما عدا البدء بالمشاركة في السباق.

• Are TT bikes allowed?

  TT bikes are not allowed in this race.

• Finisher Medal:

  At the completion of the event participants can collect a finishers' medal from the table and avail of the self-service water and then please make your way away from the event start/finish area and please continue to be aware of social distancing guidelines. We ask that everyone refrain from any hugging, high fives or handshakes - elbow and foot shakes are acceptable - we still want you to have fun! Race organizers have been working diligently to develop adjustments that encourage a safe and fair event while promoting physical distancing in every aspect of the event. Athletes should abide by the directives of the race director, event staff, volunteers, and the security.

• Volunteers:

  Please thank the volunteers as they are volunteering their own time to help you enjoy your race and get you home safely to your families. Please also respect the host community as we are guests and please adhere to best practices to help protect others. You MUST wear an appropriate mask whilst moving in and around the venue prior to the start of your run. Whilst running in your race you may remove your mask but please remember to maintain the noted distance between runners and allow adequate spacing when passing other runners. Bag Drop - There will be NO bag drop onsite.
