Join us for an action packed morning of swimming, biking and running at Mamzar. Great for beginners to advanced, all ages / abilities & relay teams of 2 or 3 athletes! The course offers calm waters in the lagoon, closed roads and a designated running track that ensures a safe and fun race. Music, lots of aid stations, supporters and a real community feel makes this race special.

• How do I find my race number?

  Race Numbers will be allocated once entries close and be available for download as from 10am on the Wednesday before the Race.

• When is race check in and race pack (number/timing chip) collection?

  Collect your race pack from GRIT+TONIC on Wednesday, 10 March, 10am – 8pm and Thursday, 11 March, 8.30am – 8pm.

  Race packs can also be collected on Race Day from Race Check In which opens at 5.30am if you were not able to collect prior. Once you know your race number, proceed directly to the Race pack collection desk and collect your race pack.
  Please check that all your data which is printed on the label of the race pack envelope is correct. This includes your name, age category, gender and distance and in the event of there being any errors, please let our registration staff know so we can change it for you so you have the correct result when finishing the race.

• What are the course highlights?

  Plenty of lifeguards in the calm water of the lagoon, roads closed to traffic for the bike, lots of marshals ensuring a safe and fun race, finishing on a run track with views of the beach and sea making it a scenic course.

• Where is the race taking place / where do we park?

  Start & Finish Location: Mamzar
  In parking bays before or after Transition Area. Do not park on the pavement as you will be fined by the traffic police.

• What is the race day program & timings?

  05h30 - 06h45 Race check In Opens, Transition Set Up and Warm Up. All competitors need to be checked in before 06h45 as roads leading to the start/finish area will be closed to ALL traffic as from this time.

• What are the race distances & age groups?

  Distances:
  JUNIOR SUPER SPRINT – 180m swim, 8km cycle, 1.25km run
  SUPER SPRINT- 375m swim, 8km cycle, 2.5km run
  SPRINT – 750m swim, 24km cycle, 5km run
  OLYMPIC – 1.5km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run

• What about race numbers and timing chips?

  Timing chip must be worn on left leg for the swim, cycle and run.
  Bring your own race belt to attach the race number to, or they can be bought in the race village on race day.
  Race number must be worn on back side for cycle and on the front side for run.
  Race numbers are different colors to indicate to marshal which distance you are doing.
  Race numbers and timing chips to be returned after finishing the race.

• How easy/difficult is the course?

  Fast and flat, perfect for first timers to elite triathletes

• Will there be bike mechanics?

  Pre-Race: Velo Presto mechanics will be available from the beginning of registration on race day to assist with any basic repairs and maintenance on a first-come first-served basis. They will not be able to assemble bicycles or carry out any complex or time-consuming repairs e.g. hydraulic systems etc.

• What are the support stations and where are they placed?

  2 x water stations on the run course as well as other refreshments at the finish line.

• Are there any Family Discounts available?

  Family discounts are available for families of 3 or more wanting to enter this event, and are ONLY for parents and THEIR children and is offered by Super Sports to make it more economically viable for the whole family to participate. • Where can I find the results?

  As soon as you have crossed the finish line, check the tablets at the race result stand in the race village for your immediate race result.
  Provisional results are released directly after prize giving at http://www.supersportsuae.com/race-results/ .
  Final results once all has been checked and confirmed.

• Where can I find the race photos?

  The available race photos can be found on Facebook: Super Sports Events and are posted 72 hours after race finish. Individual photos are not included in the race fee nor guaranteed.

• How is this event handling Covid19 related concerns?

  No spectators – only for juniors doing the Junior Super Sprint will a parent be allowed to support.
  Participants to wear a mask before the start and once you finish the event (no need to wear a mask while participating)
  Temperature check at CHECK IN on the day
  Staff will wear masks for the entire duration of the event and sanitize regularly.
  Self-social distancing of 2m at all times except when participating.
  Self-service water stations out on course and at the finish line
  Sanitize your hands regularly at designated stations.
  If you feel unwell on the morning of the event with flu-like symptoms, please stay at home!

• Why have I not received any race emails from the event organizer?

  Race emails are sent 7 days before race day, and on the Wednesday before the race at midday. If you do not receive these emails, please check your spam / junk / promotions or other folders and un-spam us so you can receive future emails from us, Super Sports UAE.
