The Daman DXB SwimFest presented by JA The Resort is a mass-participation swimming event for the entire community.

There is a choice of disciplines for individuals, families and teams from the age of 8+. The multiple race categories cater for all swimming abilities, so there is something for everyone, including two Junior Splash Dash’s (100m and 300m), Family (Parent & Child) relays, Team relays, the JA The Resort Half Mile and the Dubai Mile event.

The event is sanctioned by the UAE Swimming Federation & Dubai Sports Council and attracts amateur swimmers from all over the UAE in a bid to promote an active and healthy lifestyle across the community, whilst at the same time raising awareness of safety in the water.

It is not just a swimming event, it is a fun day out for the whole family!

NB - All DUBAI MILE athletes MUST HAVE a Tow Float/Swim Buoy for their event! Tow floats are available at www.gritandtonic.com

• Venue:

  This year it will take place at the fantastic new venue of JA The Resort.

• Race Category Information:

  Dubai Mile* - 1600m course open to ages 14+ (Tow Floats are compulsory)
  JA The Resort Half-Mile* - 800m course open to ages 14+ (Tow Floats are Optional but recommended)
  Junior Splash Dash Races - 100m course for U11 / U10; and 300m course for U14 / U11
  GEMS Wellington, Al Khail Family Splash Dash Relay - parent & child pairs relay. Adults (18+) swim 300m and Kids (8+) swim 100m
  Team Splash Dash - 4 x 300m relay (12+)

  Race briefings will take place 10 mins before the race start time. All participants must be present at the race briefing or they won't be permitted to start for health & safety purposes.
  
  All participants are advised to arrive at the venue approximately 1 hour before your race start time.
