Race 2 BLUE TANK CHASER is back! Returning for the first time since 2015, one of the most beloved mtb race courses will host the most exciting and close race!
Now part of the UAE National MTB Challenge Series in it’s second year with a massive series of 8 races all over the UAE!
Starting and finishing above the entrance to the Showka Wadi, climbing up to the telegraph mast 13km, round the U-turn and blast all the way 13km return home! The course is rocky double track the entire way, you will need strength and alot of determination for the high speed rush down from the mast!
UAE Cycle Federation points counting toward and overall series winner for Men u40, Women u40, Men 40+, Women 40+ and Junior Boys & Girls 14-18years.
Seperate categories for XC, Gravel and Electric-MTB are available. Points will be awarded as per the bike you are on. UAECF medals for top 3, podium top 5 in each category.

You will need UAE Cycle Federation to enter MTB events for 2022/23 season. This can be bought at UAECF.ae. Day licences are available when entering on Premier Online. Entries on the line are not possible so please make sure you register entry on Premier Online to set a place. You will not be able to race without a licence, even if you entered the event.

• Do I need to be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 Vaccine to participate?

  Riders aged 18 years and above will be required to present proof of any vaccine recognized by their national government or a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours.

• How do I find race my race number?

  Race Numbers will be given upon sign on, starts from 6am to 7am at the car parking.

• Do I need UAECF Licence to compete?

  Yes. UAECF Licence is needed. You must already have a license before you attend. Please arrange on www.uaecf.ae beforehand.
  
  Day race licenses are available when entering Premier Online if you don't have an annual race license.

• How far is the course?

  13km out and 13km back on the same track.

• What are the race timings?

  Sign on 5.30am to 7am. Race start at 7.45am.
  
  Prizes will be awarded for overall series winners after final event.

• What is the level of difficulty of the course?

  INTERMEDIATE/BLUE. The course is double track the whole way. However, outward leg is gradually uphill whilst crossing dried wadi including rocks, sand, gravel as usual. At the half way mark you turn to then ride back exactly the same track as you came up all the way to the finish. The return journey is mostly downhill.

• What are the support stations and where are they placed?

  Marshals on course. Riders should be self sufficient. Pick-up truck for a ride home.

  Top 3 in each category get a medal.
  Top 5 in each category podium.
  Top 30 in each category qualify for series points.
