The only comments I have are it would be great to hold this event when it's a little cooler say November and February. Also, provide more loos and shade at the finish area. Transition is very good as well. -few comments on (1) carbo load, cancelled -late notice(2) no gatorade at the finish line, good thing there is cold water (3)refreshment is not available at the end of race, served only after the awarding (4) Many of the Marshals did not get a giveaways. (5) cheap medal quality. (6) with 150 fee, it's a good race.”

“Great race in great location - I thought the whole organisation was great. My only criticism is that I missed the turnaround point on the run section. There was a marshall stationed there and said something to me but I didn't hear her and she just let me run past it. And I don't believe I was the only one. I only realised my mistake when I checked over my shoulder to see competitors running in the opposite direction. She just needed to stand in the road and clearly signal where to turn. Overall the marshalls were fantastic!”

“Great event -pls have more Tshirt sizes available - Great event, great atmosphere, good organisation - wish there were more events like this in Doha. The only thing that bothered me was that you ask for T shirt sizes in registration but we're only handing out Mediums in the race giveaways which are way too big for ladies. Also the quality of the backpack and drinking bottle is very poor. I don't think I will even use the bottle which is a shame. These are not major issues but the giveaways are nice mementos from these events.”

“Very good effort on this first edition of the race - Suggest having rubbish bins located at 25m and 50m past the aid stations so competitors can put used bottles in - keeps the area free from debris and helps with the clean-up. Some extra shaded areas/ tents at the finish would be beneficial”

“Best Qatar triathlon yet. - I really enjoyed my first Oly. Bit late in the season so very hot. Great enthusiatic marshalling, but a more assertive marshal would have helped at the eastern bike turn (missed it the first time). Bit short of water at the end when us stragglers needed it! Cones were collected while I was still running, so not really safe. Race briefing in transition was a bit pointless when we'd all been instructed to leave for the beach. T2 was longer for those with bikes near the beach.”

“Great event with Amazing Potential - The organization was really good and this race has the potential to be as big as races like Tri-Yas or ADIT, which will be great for triathlon in Qatar. Great course overall with some challenging hills on the cycle and run. Water stations were well spaced, but ran out of water at the end. Needs: 1. more marshals on the run route through QQ. 2. more shade for finishers 3. better structure to the finish area/pack/food collection 4. junior categories Staff and Race Makers were wonderful! :)”

“A great event, thank you - Really enjoyed the event, smooth, efficient and well run. Brilliant Marshalls, good course. More water required for slower competitors, water ran out towards the end. More shade and shaded seating needed at the end. Lots of seats were taken up by spectators, not enough room for finishers to sit in the shade. An air conditioned room / tent would have been great too. I would definately want to do the event again next year.”

“Well organised, looking forward to next year. - Very good event. Very well organised and marshaled and pre-race communication was excellent. The quality of the venue and course was fantastic. Couple of things for next year to make it even better: 1.) Have more loos at the start, 2.) Feed people sooner after the finish. 3.) Try and have more people along the route cheering us on. The ones who did come along were great and highly appreciated. Perhaps letting people know that the Doha bus was available might have increased support.”

“Really impressed - Overall a brilliant event- congrats to the organisers . A few more Marshalls on the course - for the leading few. We were mis directed at one point and also very easy to cycle straight / miss the left lane towards underpass - when your first group and not sure . Also more volunteers on the water stations would mean bottles could be opened / caps off before handing to the athlete.they were busy didn't have time. And bins for empty bottles :-) A fantastic event- thank you!!!”

“Excellent, undulating, multi-lap bike & run course - SWIM: I liked the 'gun/mass' start & 2 lap course. Make 1st leg longer to spread the field of swimmers, avoiding congestion at 1st turn buoy. BIKE & RUN: very good, undulating multi-lap course, excellent for experienced triathletes to speed up etc. & sufficiently challenging for tri-newbies. Feed stations were well marshalled. Perhaps have signage to show what drink/food is available to approaching cyclists. Have bins for cyclists to properly dispose of used bottles, more cold sponges/bottles.”

“Very well organised race, good venue. - Very good race organisation. Good Communication before the event with all the required details and a good race briefing pack. Plenty of enthusiastic and helpful marshals. Good atmosphere at finish. The only minor issue was on the run the aid stations started to run out of water and sponges, with only Gatorade left. This was the only small fault in an otherwise very well organised event. Overall, great race. Thank you to all who made it possible. Would definitely recommend to others.”
