“Riding a bicycle. - Hi. I entered this event as a way of doing some cycling on a holiday to the Middle East. As a road cyclist I anticipated it would be hard, and it was - good! The event was very well organised and delivered in all respects - particular praise goes to the team that signed the route - they were superb. A minor issue was the fact that when I booked the event I was told the start would be in Muscat so I booked a hotel room that was unnecessary. Still a great experience - well done guys - superb!”

“Very well organized and well participated event - Overall organization and conduct of the event was good.except for Day- 3 event.40% route was road riding on tarmac which is anti climax for a MTB race .We expect to see a race with only MTB trails in future. Thank you ”

“A MTB stage race with great potential - Pre event communication could be better. Sending newsletters to riders of what to expect, what is available at the race village and what not could be very helpful. An official welcoming I think is also needed, just to get every one together and explain where everything is in the race village, how the racing will work est. Emergency contact number needs to be communicated before the event starts. Was only communicated the 2nd morning. Less tar, more single track on race route! :) Camping (tens, matres, bed) was great!!! Food delicious! Toilet facilities could be better. Still enjoyed the event a lot , will be back next year!”

“Great athmosphere, good orginasation, pour routes - I enjoyed racing in the Transhajar 2014. The athmosphere in the camp was great. The facilities were very good. The best food i ever had during a mtb race. Only thing i wasn't happy with was the information wich was almost not availeble prior to the race and i was not happy with the course, it was to much of the same loops instead of 4 different loops. I would suggest to camp in different places next year and to put some effort in organizing the webside”

Lake and the team did a great job - thanks for all your efforts - and special thanks to the marshals and aid station volunteers out on the course, and the Omani government for getting behind the event. Terrific to have the professional timing - and it would be good to use the timed results to further recognise individual efforts across the age groups.”
