“Good event - Unfortunately some did not understand that this isn't a race, but a group ride”

“Great Ride, looking forward to November already - Great event. Thoroughly enjoyed myself. Looking forward to the next one already. I may arrange a "draft truck" for the last 60km's though!”

“Fantastic, the premier cycling event in the UAE. - Everything great. Friendly, efficient, welcoming, caring and patient. My only issue was that I was not sure if I could have gotten water from a support truck at the tunnel and coastal stops. There were many other support cars but I believe that they were all for specific riders. Was there communal water for all riders?”

“Great ride! - Well organized, cheerful and massage chairs at the end was very welcome! Food excellent as always, and return transportation impeccable. Food stops could be a bit better, but otherwise a stellar event!”

“. - Although I didnt lose myself, the route from Kalba to Al Aqah needed some kind of signage. Scenery was awesome in the mountains but the final 60km from Kalba to Al Aqah was boring and definitely dangerous especially for riders ending up ungrouped. I would also like to see some official timing without standings, I know it not a race but being able to compare timings gives this extra salt to the ride without making it competitive. Nevertheless, thank you for organizing this ride!”

“Excellent Event - This ride is a must for any serious rider living in or visiting the UAE, it’s both a test of endurance as well as a great scenic ride taking in the Towers of Dubai, Desert sunrise, Mountains at Hatta and the coastline of Fujairah all in one ride. A good level of cycling fitness is required to complete this ride safely and it should not be attempted unless the rider has built up a good level of endurance on the bike. The ride is very well organised and the BBQ at the beach resort at the end is well worth the time in the saddle!”

“Amazing ride. Keep on going WBS !! - Thanks a lot to WBS for the organization. Simply perfect ! I'm looking forward to participate again to that amazing ride. A special note for the technicians who make a check on your bike one day before the ride : professionalism, kindness and excellent technical skills !! ”

“Hard - The online application process was confusing, I ended up with an extra end of race BBQ vouchers, because the information online was not clear. Plus at the registration the voucher was non refundable, so I ended up over paying. The ride was great except the food stations could of done with some Gels and Banana's, I was in the second Peloton and never seen any food other than drinks. Other than that a great days riding”

“Good event - great route - The only complaint I have is not regarding the event, but the BBq at the destination. The flies are horrific!! We had children with us, and it was impossible to sit at the table and all eat, as ther flies e were literally hundreds of flies. This is the 3rd time I've done the event, and it's the same situation every time. The hotel need to do something to manage the flies. Otherwise, it would be good if there was a more straight forward provision for families to also pay for the BBQ”

“Excellent event - Ride was awesome and BBQ far exceeded my expectations. A long way to go and pick up a green wrist band on registration and not sure what it was for. Wasn't clear where to get water at the stops, but found it in the end. Had a lot of help from various people for which I am very grateful including a bit of advice from Wolfie. Thanks to the team for a great day.”

“Bad start but glad I did it - I felt out of place because I knew no one. I felt better after the speech at the beginning: " Help new faces, if you fall behind you will be asked to ride and rest" and so on. About halfway through the lap around the track my sealing solution bottle fell off so I went back to find it. Made one quick sweep and continued. The guy who gave the speech witnessed this event but I was left alone, lost the group, had to join at first stop.So..pirates code applies,"If you fall behind your left behind".”

“Great ride and well organized - The C2C event was a great event and exceptionally well orgainized. Thank you for all the effort the team put in. The stop in Kalba was not what i expected but fine as i had cash to buy water at the local shops. Generally nothing to complain about but potentially point this out at the 2nd last stop that there will be no support cars waiting.”

“Great challenge a must do - Over all very happy with event although just a few things that maybe needs more attention, the water/food stops were not marked out very well because of the multiple private support cars wasn't sure where to go for water/food if there was any. Didn't take any cash with me as I assumed we would be supported at the food/water stops whilst this maybe obvious to the local clubs that have done this event numerous times for me this was the first time doing this event. Driver didnt know directions back”
